"Everyone is a kid at Christmas," comes true
at Santa's Castle.
Santa's
Castle began in 1962 with the purchase of four animated elves
and now is regarded as one of the largest displays of antique,
animated Christmas characters in the world.
These unique figures once graced the store
windows of some of the finest department stores in the world.
They have found their permanent home here, in Storm Lake’s
historic Carnegie Library, which is on the National Register
of Historic Places.
Imagine the sparkle in the eyes of the children
as they are mesmerized by the priceless collection of animated
scenes culminating before them. Beautiful ladies ice skate on
a frozen pond. Little mice frolic in a winter carnival. A family
of goats cause a ruckus in the middle of the night on
Christmas Eve. Santa's Castle brings out the child in everyone!
Santa's Castle is almost 100% volunteer staffed
and we are always looking for "Santa's Helpers."
Volunteers collect admission from visitors,
and don the big red suit to provide a special lap for children
to sit on.

Before your trip to the Castle, make sure to email Santa a letter. Go to
one of the stores listed below to get your child's admission ticket to
the Castle. These tickets will have an elf ID and Secret Santa password.
Go online and log in using the ID and password. Children can write Santa
a letter, including how he should come into the house (chimney or front
door), what they want for Christmas, and what type of Christmas treat
he'll get when he gets there (chocolate chip cookies, perhaps?). Parents
can then add additional comments that they think Santa should know.
Be sure to bring the ticket with the elf number to the Castle and watch
as Santa knows exactly what they want for Christmas. A picture of Santa
and your little ones will be printed off with a personalized letter from
Santa. The picture will also be added to your online information. Give
Grandma and Grandpa your elf ID and password so they can see your
child's Christmas wish list and their picture with Santa.
Great lengths have been made to make the website a safe site for
children and parents to use with all information well protected. The
only personal information needed to participate is their first name.
