2007 Storm Lake Chamber of Commerce Committees

Ambassadors
President, Margie Robinson (Century 21: The Professional Group)
Vice-President, Peggy Vial (Iowa Workforce Development Center)
Welcomes new businesses, attends ribbon cuttings, coffees, Business After Hours (BAH), and promotes the Storm Lake Community. Assists with membership drive, Ag and Home Show, July 4th Celebration, New Teachers Lunch to name a few of the many activities. Maintain and drive float in area celebrations. Meets every 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00 A.M.

Retail
Chair: Mike Rust (Rust's Western Shed)
Exchange ideas and sets retail promotions for the coming year. Meets 2nd Tuesday at 7:30 AM every month at the Chamber conference room. Provides networking and exchange of ideas for the retail community

Santa’s Castle
Curator: Candy Clough
The mission of the Santa’s Castle Committee is to foster community involvement in the attraction, enhance the uniqueness of the attraction and guide the future development.

Storm Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau
Chair, Matt Pearson (Northwest Communications)
Promotes Storm Lake as an overnight destination by planning events, enhancing attractions, researching and providing promotional tools through the use of Hotel/Motel Tax funds. Meet 4th Wednesday of every month.

Membership
On-going committee for the development and retention of Chamber membership. Membership drive in January and continuous retention plan all year round.

Golf Day
Chair, Dave Fedderson (MetaBank)
Annual Chamber fundraiser with volunteers helping to collect door prize. Held at Lake Creek in June.
